Senior Java Developer at Software Santa Fe
Argentina
For five years I have been responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of software applications in a small company in terms of employees but big in services, since it is the first and the only one ISO 17025 Milk Analysis Laboratory in Latin America. During these years I developed its entire software platform, period in which I gained a lot of experience in Java, the J2EE stack, ORM frameworks such as Hibernate, setting up App Servers like JBoss and processing large amounts of data. One of the systems developed had to support the processing of data coming from the analysis of more than 100.000 milks samples per month, and report generation of such data. Another challenge successfully accomplished at this company, was the development of an application that could be able to record and process in a daily basis data collected from more than 80.000 cows, providing useful reports to farmers so they can take better decisions in order to improve their earnings and herd genetic quality. Being able to design and develop such software required a strong training, which took place at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, given by experts in this area.
Looking for new challenges, during the last year I have been working for a software company as a Senior Java Developer being responsible for several projects, many of them using frameworks like Struts, Spring and Hibernate. Most of these systems were successfully implemented into production and are currently under maintenance.
I am interested in working with cutting edge projects, preferrably web 2.0 related.
