I'm a versatile technology consultant with close to ten years of experience in managing technical projects. I started out in the private sector but have been dedicating myself to the non-profit world since 2003.
Electronic voting and the application of information technology in electoral processes has been a focus of mine since 2005. I have been working in electoral observation missions and technical assistance projects of organizations such as the Carter Center, the OAS and DI/USAid. I love combinations of technical work with politics and civil issues.
Before getting into the electoral field I have worked on causes as diverse as the fight against HIV/AIDS in South Africa, campaigning for freedom of access to information in Argentina, combating climate change in the Maldives. I learn quickly and am stimulated by a new field.
Besides serving on the staff or NGOs and Multinational Organizations, I also have been running a small web development business for a few years, with progressive NGOs as my clients.
I believe that the fight to combat climate change is our generation's most pressing challenge and I hope to get another opportunity to help meet it soon.
The ins and outs of Electronic Voting, and the application of information technology in electoral processes, with a focus on audits and security analysis, as well as biometric voter registration systems.
Solid understanding of scientific, economic and social issues surrounding climate change, and a passion to fight it.
Open source software implementations, tools for progressive groups to work more effectively on the web (CMS, Email campaigns, Online Donations, Salesforce.com, etc)
